0 3
Open to all PTAs and PTA Students!

Selective manual therapy techniques are an integral part of a physical therapist assistant’s collaborative scope of work. This is the second of a two-part PTA course series and will provide a fundamental foundation on specified manual therapy in addition to the current guidelines and recommendations for the PTA. Day 1 will explore different passive and active osteokinematic mobilizations and PNF techniques as they relate to the lumbar region and the lower quarter. Day 2 will cover neurodynamic mobilization, advanced soft tissue mobilization and stretching. This course will be designed to maximize hands-on practice with short lectures and group discussion. Participants will have expert supervision and guidance from Fellows of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and active clinicians.
